GeoNations is a survival server built around territorial claims, Nations, wars, trade, and seasonal survival. This wiki documents the mechanics that differ from ordinary survival or require exact commands and values.
The four states of ground
Almost every rule on this server comes from one table. Every block of the world is in one of four states:
| Ground | What it means |
|---|---|
| Wilderness | Nobody owns it. Anyone may build on it, break it, open your chests and take everything you left there. |
| Camp | A temporary claim from your free Camp block. It protects a small patch for 2 days, then it expires and the ground drops back to wilderness. See Camps. |
| Claimed Region | Chunks you bought and pay weekly upkeep on. Other players can walk through, but they cannot build, break or open anything. See Claiming and regions. |
| Nation ground | Regions grouped under one flag, with shared diplomacy and shared enemies. See Relations and nations. |
Claims provide block and container protection while the owner is online or offline. Unclaimed builds do not have that protection. Claimed territory can be transferred through the war system described on the War page.
Java and Bedrock
Java and Bedrock players share one world, one economy and one chat. Crossplay works, chest shops included. Java connects to geonations.org. Bedrock connects to geonations.org port 19132. The differences that actually matter on a Bedrock client are collected on the Java + Bedrock page.
Reporting bugs
Bug reports go in the #bug-reports forum on the GeoNations Discord, not in chat — one post per bug (ideas go to #suggestions; tickets are for account, punishment and payment issues). Include what happened, what you expected, exact steps to reproduce, where it happened (coordinates help), whether you are on Java or Bedrock and which version, your username, roughly when it happened with your timezone, and screenshots or a clip if you have them.
Do not reproduce or use an exploit after finding it. Report duplication methods, unintended sources of money, and claim protection failures privately in a ticket — not in the public forum. Block activity is logged and can be rolled back.
Appeals and corrections
Appeals, rules questions, disputes, and reports of incorrect wiki content can be submitted through the GeoNations Discord. Include the relevant message, rule, command, or wiki page when possible.
